Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on 13 February 1979) is an American model and actress. She is also a fashion designer model. Her modeling career began in 1990. She soon shifted into acting following appearances in television shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. She had her first film part in the drama Nowhere. Her transition into important roles thanks to her performance in American Beauty for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Award and American Pie and American Pie, both of which gained the attention of the world. In the following years, she starred in Loser (2000) alongside the American Pie co-star Jason Biggs and later played the main character in the comedy Sugar & Spice (2001). Spun the independent drama released in 2002 as well as the suspense movie Trauma (2004), were the two films she has made her most recent appearances. She also appeared in the HBO drama Six Feet Under. She received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award in for 2005, as part of the Outstanding Ensemble.
